"Eclexia" is not a word that appears in the dictionary. It is, however, an obvious bit of word-play:

DislexicDislexia
EclecticEclexia

How obvious? Well, several people claim to have coined it.

I registered the domain in fall of 2003. At the time, I was an independent contractor in the S.F. Bay Area doing business under my own name. My intent was to establish "eclexia" as my brand after filing a DBA with the city. "Eclexia" seemed a good name, since my interests were scattered in many areas.

Within months of putting up a site and printing business cards, however, I stopped contracting and took a full-time salary job with Yahoo in Los Angeles. I did nothing with the domain except use it as email. In 2008, I decided to start contracting again, once again printed business cards... and once again took salary work instead.

During the long neglect, I began to notice other uses of the name "Eclexia". There was a blog, and a twitter handle. Neither of these is mine. The word now appears in Urban Dictionary. I was "socializing" the word by using it in various media for my personal use. Did other people see my use and adopt it? Or had I seen it before and unknowingly adopted it?

The most likely explanation is that we all coined it independently. It is, after all, obvious. However, I am unaware that it was ever used on the internet before I registered the domain. I searched around quite a bit at the time.
